Historical Preservation
Macoupin County Courthouse
Carlinville, Illinois

The Macoupin County Courthouse was built in the 1890's and had been in need of renovation for many years. In 2013 Loyet was hired to start the process of preserving this historical structure. The deteriorated stonework is being cleaned, replaced and brought back to its original grandure. Interior renovations are currently in the planning stages to bring the building up to code for public use including installation of a fire alarm system and elevator. To top it all off, Loyet designed a new roof to preserve the historical beauty of the County Courthouse.
